Time to get away from the accounts book
Having a poor credit history is a real nuisance and is often created by all manner of things out of your control. For the self employed, not being paid by creditors can stretch the cash flow. What follows then is a downward spiraling situation which ends up with you at the bottom of the spiral, and with the poor credit rating. The company who owed the money for the work done is fine because they have the backing of large banks – it’s the sole trader and the ‘one man band’ at the bottom of the heap that gets stung. To solve the problem it is possible to get some funds by applying to an organisation which promotes poor credit loans online. However all care should be taken to make sure this is a reputable company and not one that’s going to hit you with sudden hikes in interest rates which you cannot afford. Let’s get away for Christmas!
The sad truth is that getting money from an organisation selling poor credit loans online is going to cost more anyway because you are considered a higher risk – no matter how the situation came about. But there comes a time when the pressure of running a small scale business gets too much and you say to your spouse “Let’s go and take one of those Christmas cruises to the Caribbean this year!” As this is also your business partner the idea is not likely to be met with great enthusiasm. But the logic is that you may as well enjoy this Christmas to the full and worry about the business after the holiday. No one works for two weeks either side of the festive season and some don’t go back to work until well in the beginning of January. So what’s better? Sit around twiddling your thumbs with no work, or take a relaxing voyage in a nice part of the world such as those found in the Royal Caribbean cruises website? Looking through that is a far better internet experience than going through all the companies offering poor credit loans online. A cost effective holiday The costs are not as high as many might think with 5 day cruises around Mexico and Florida costing just $350, although the Xmas period is more expensive. But taking a cruise is not near as expensive as it used to be, when to some extent it was a holiday for the better off. All that has changed and there are good Mediterranean cruises which will not break the bank. The choice of ocean and sea can be mind boggling but as this is going to be a quick voyage with just the basic such as meals and deck activities included, the options are the Med. or the Caribbean cruises. Both are going to be sunny affairs and the idea of getting away from the miserable business and the miserable weather appeals to both of you. Sensibly you have kept another savings account well away from the business accounts and have vowed never to touch it, except for life’s’ small pleasure. Without doubt this holiday will fall in to that category and whilst it could be spent on clothes or upgrading the car, the cruise seems to have greater feel to it. Keeping to the sunnier locations
As this is going to be a winter trip the Norwegian cruises are a bit out of season and its dark in northern Scandinavia for most of the day. So that idea is ruled out but the other choices are very good. All the big cruise operators have itineraries which cover the planet, and that means voyages in New Zealand, in Japan, in South East Asia, the Americas and even up the Rio Negro and the Amazon. Never before has a holiday seemed so inviting or more necessary! Personalities on board The itineraries of the Celebrity cruises look inviting but for one moment you were unsure if that was the name of the company or it meant they had celebrities on board! Both are true as the company uses that name for its cruises which are well recognised as some of the best around. But most of the cruise liners have a celebrity on board in the shape of an author, a travel expert, actor or TV personality. Its all part of the entertainment package which cruise line operators consider to be as much a part of life at seas as the delicious food. Its not unusual for a ship restaurant to have an open buffet late into the evening so if you are feeling peckish at 11.30 pm you can just go and help yourself to some fresh salmon or a steak sandwich. That’s the kind if supper which goes down very well, although its not the healthiest time to eat. The larger vessels go on ‘round the world’ voyages from the UK and eventually sail into the harbours of Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. One such craft is the Princess Diamond which belongs to the fleet of the Princess cruises. They are keen to point out the personal nature of their ships and their voyages but on this occasion, Australia and the chance to see the Kuala and the Kangaroo are going to have to wait. There simply is the time available and the business has to get back on its feet pronto in the New Year. But for that the other trips on the ships such as the Oriana from P & O cruises have a nice ring to them. The Anderson bar and The Lords tavern suggest a traditional ambience which would go down well. As one of the more established companies they have great experience in placing their vessels in the right locations to maximise their time and that of the passengers. So it is possible to pick up a cruise which focuses on the culture of Italy or the religious aspects of the Holy Land. These voyages prove very popular with those who are taking a cruise as both a life experience and a way of seeing new places. Looking after adults and the kids
So not everyone on a cruise ship is there to spend time sunning themselves on the top decks, although that is all part of the holiday. The bigger ships can have four different swimming pools on the top deck – usually known as the promenade deck. There are cascade pools, as well as games areas for children and adults. Some have lawn bowls greens with real grass, so every effort is made to ensure passengers are not bored with up to five days at sea. The chances of getting bored are very slight as the ship is a great social place and its inconceivable that you will not meet someone you like and in whose company you feel comfortable. Its all part of the voyage and an aspect which has often led to longer relationships and return trips. It’s a romantic place, is a ship! As long as no one wants to talk business and credit ratings you are happy to chat with anyone. With the idea now firmly in place the time for a decision looms, and although the family has long since fled the nest its good to see that some cruise companies are keen to attract the younger generations. MSC cruises do just that with a host of attractions for kids from the age of three up to the age of seventeen. That’s about the oldest a teenager would want to come with their Mum and Dad on holiday, so its seems about right. But for the youngest kids, they really don’t want to be sitting out on a sun deck all day. So the cruise directors have a team of well trained and professionally qualified staff to look after and entertain the younger shipmates. They have games, parties and are all safely looked after. Its ideal for a young family and its an idea which will grow and parents realise that a cruise is actually a much easier holiday than having to load the car up every day and listen to the inevitable question “ Are we there yet” They might ask that on the ship, but with so much fun to be had, who cares?. What’s more, when land is spotted for the first time in three days, the effect is just like Captain Sparrow and his band of pirates – Land Ahoy! Let the cruise begin! So the cruise experience is not just for couples and older travelers who have yearned to see the world from a ships deck for decades. It’s a brilliant experience for everyone, and even for the ‘one man band’ business owner who has more than enough to worry about back home. Its time to look through the Fred Olsen cruises brochure and see what they have to offer. Being spoilt for choice is a great thing and for just a short time, you can forget about applying for the poor credit loan online and let the idea of the Caribbean beaches can drift in. |
